Spiro’s Latest Features – August 2018

We are pleased to share with you all the latest Spiro features and updates we have been working on over the past few weeks. These enhancements to our product will help improve the way salespeople do their job, allowing them to spend less time on data entry and more time selling!

(BTW, If you aren’t currently a Spiro user, schedule a demo to see how our AI-Powered sales automation CRM can radically improve the way salespeople work.)

Search Improvements

We have made speed improvements to our global search, making it much faster for you to find all your contacts, opportunities and companies. In addition to being able to globally search records, users also have the ability to search in a secondary search menu bar that limits the search to just opportunities, or contacts, or companies.

New Custom Fields

In our latest release, we added two additional custom fields, allowing users to tailor Spiro for their individual company needs.

  1. User Picker

You can now create a custom field that will automatically pull from your list of users, allowing you to attach a user to any object (company, opportunity, contact, or any custom entity that you create). This means that not only will every contact record have a Spiro owner associated with it, but you can also assign an additional user (for instance a customer success manager) to that record as well.

  1. Calculated Value

Spiro users now have the ability to create fields that have a calculated value. Let’s say you are selling a monthly subscription based product for $10 a month. You can create a calculated field multiplying the number of months the customer has signed up for by the unit price. You can create your calculated value fields through Settings.Changes to Phone Formatting

We have updated the way phone numbers are formatted and displayed. The new formatting has a much cleaner appearance, and you can then click into it to view the entire number, including country calling code.

Spiro Assistant Improvements

Back in May we announced the enhancements we made to the Assistant, preventing the cards from automatically disappearing. Recently we made even more improvements to help streamline the process. Now when you click on the “done” check-box on the card, Spiro will give you smart suggestions on the best next steps to take. And you can also easily log activities and set future reminders. The flow is streamlined and helps you move on to that next deal faster.

Activity Logging

If you recall, in the past you could only attach an activity to a contact. Spiro users now have the ability to log activities under their accounts and opportunities. This is helpful if you don’t have an individual contact at a company, but still want to log an activity with that company account.

New Authentication

Now when you log into Spiro, you can authenticate using Microsoft Office 365, in addition to logging in with Google.

Email Assistant

As a reminder, the Email Assistant allows you to have a simple email conversation with Spiro to do tasks such as: update opportunities, add new records, provide detailed reports, and much much more. Each month we teach the Email Assistant new commands that it can respond to. We are excited to announce that you can now add attachments to a contact record through the Email Assistant.

Try it now – just forward an email from a contact that has an attachment in it to assistant@spiro.ai and include in the email “add attachment”. Spiro will do the rest! Never hassle with searching your email or google drive for important documents again – it can all be kept in Spiro, with the help of the Email Assistant.

Web Enhancements

On the Timeline, you can now use the drop-down menu to filter your activities by the type of interaction. This helps you easily find recent emails, notes, events and attachments.  These type of filters are also now available on reports, allowing you to easily report on specific activities.

iOS Improvements

We have made three notable changes to iOS:

  • Users now can configure their Spiro Voice greeting from their mobile phone, allowing you to update your message whenever, wherever.
  • You can now apply opportunity filters that you create on the web version to the mobile version.
  • We have made design improvements to our menu bar, allowing you to navigate to your contacts and opportunities with ease.

Android

For our Android users, we have made updates that allow you to send, receive, and log text messages through your Spiro Voice number.

Also, in the next release all of the above changes we made for iOS this time around will be available on Android.
