You Should Email All Your Prospects Today – Yes, Thanksgiving – Sample Email Included!
One of the most common sales challenges can be getting the right phone number to call your prospects on. I received so many emails asking about this topic, that we wrote a blog in response: 10 Ways to Find Your Prospect’s Phone Number.
Today, Thanksgiving, is a great opportunity to reach out with a word of thanks and also email all your prospects to find that elusive phone number (which Spiro can help with).
How do you do that?
The Out of Office Email Trick
If you have a good prospect you’ve been going after, but only have their email address at your sole point of contact, this trick may be for you! I actually discovered this by accident.
One Friday evening, I sent an email out to a prospect and they had their email auto-responder already set for the weekend. The message I received back said “…and if you need to reach me, you can call me on my cell at 555-555-1212.” Bingo! I quickly jotted down their number and was ready on Monday morning to call their mobile.
Thanksgiving is a great day to put this trick into action. Go email all your prospects and you can thank me later.
Send Good Wishes to Your Prospects
We have all grown to expect a message from our friends, families, and business associates in December. Wishing us Happy Holidays and good health in the New Year. But don’t be predictable. If you want to stand out, you should send a message of warm wishes on Thanksgiving.
Try something like this:
Dear Bob,
I wanted to send you a message on this day of thanks to let you know that I am thankful for the opportunity to work with people like you. I hope you are enjoying this wonderful holiday and I look forward to talking with you soon.
Wishing you, and yours, a Thanksgiving full of peace and bounty!
Remember to keep the email short and stick to the sole purpose of saying Happy Thanksgiving. This is not the time to sell your product or close a deal. Stay on topic and the message of thanks will sound more sincere.
Happy Thanksgiving!
From all of us at Spiro, to all of our US readers, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. We’re grateful that you’re reading our blog.
And of course to our readers all around the world, we’re grateful you’re reading as well.
