7 Things Salespeople Can Be Thankful for This Year
As strange as 2020 was, 2021 has been strange in its own ways too. That being said, it’s been a pretty decent year for sales teams as lots of companies have seen record years. And while the breakdown of in-office vs. remote time has changed (probably for good), most everyone has gotten used to it and the “new normal” has worked out well for the salespeople of the world.
Since Thanksgiving is almost upon us, we wanted to put together a list of things salespeople can be thankful for. While not everybody will agree with each and every one of these, the majority of salespeople are likely to find that these things have made working in sales this year pretty enjoyable and that next year looks promising as well.
Here are seven things salespeople can be thankful for this year:
1. Things starting to (sort of) get back to normal
The leads are coming in (for some), salespeople are pounding the phones, and people are spending money.
2. Lots and lots of job opportunities
There’s a record number of open sales jobs out there, so make sure you’re being treated well.
3. Spiffs
We might complain about the Starbucks gift cards but we definitely appreciate them, too.
4. Being able to work remotely
There’s nothing quite like rolling out of bed and opening your email to start closing deals.
5. LinkedIn
While there’s definitely a lot not to like, without LinkedIn, our jobs would be much more complicated.
6. People finally getting the hang of using Zoom
By now, most people know how to book a meeting and how to open Zoom without twenty minutes of fumbling about.
7. Better sales tech (like Spiro) that makes life for salespeople easier
Salespeople can work smarter, not harder, thanks to ever-improving sales technology.
